  1. Think about what your message is - and how you can get it across. Look at some sample slams - we are sure you can do better- and check out What makes a good slam.

  2. Decide what tools and resources you will use. You can always use Google and other search engines to find tools and resources we have not yet spotted.

  3. Create your slam and record it on digital media in some place that you can link to from your slam page.

  4. You will need to join the Wiki to publish your Slam, just look for the "Join this Wiki button, button", top right.

  5. Add a page (left menu) using the SLAM Template. In the Easy Edit toolbar, you'll find specific widget support for Google Videos, youtube and Photobucket, as well as a general purpose copy that will probably work. If you can't embed your material, then please provide a link. Photos can be uploaded to the Photo Gallery here, see tab above.

  6. Publish your slam by midnight GMT on Wednesday 11 September, and message Frances Bell, Helen Keegan, Cristina da Costa or Josie Fraser when it's ready, so that we can make it available for voting from 11 -14 September. You will get a message reminding you to vote, as long as you have registered as a member.
